ABOUT THE THEME
The Lunar New Year is the most important social and economic holiday for billions of people around the world, celebrating the arrival of spring and the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar. The holiday is tied to the lunar-solar Chinese calendar and was originally observed as a time to honor household and heavenly deities and ancestors.
Considered the most important holiday in China, the lunar new year celebrations are widely celebrated in South Korea, Vietnam, and countries with a significant overseas Chinese population, a few of the rich and colorful activities including the lion dance, dragon dance, temple fairs, flower market shopping and so on.
